JAVA Blackened Swordfish with Squash and Onions

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

This is a great healthy recipe, and one I cook all the time.  You can substitute swordfish with any type of white fish like tilapia or catfish.

Preparation:

Prior to cooking, vigorously dust swordfish with Mumbo Jumbo — JAVA seasoning

Directions:

In a large pan, pour a small amount of olive oil so that pan is evenly coated.  Cook swordfish steaks over medium / high heat for appox. 6 to 8 minutes per side (until fish is tender and done).  Meanwhile, in a medim sized pan saute thinly sliced yellow squash, zucchini, and small onion in olive oil over medium heat.  Cook until onion is transluscent and squash is tender

One of our big goals this year was to make our website more interactive.  Up until now, our web site (www.mumbojumboseasoning.com) was basically an online store with some basic information about Mumbo Jumbo products, our retailers, and a few recipes.

With the launch of our new Mumbo Jumbo blog site you will now be able to upload and share recipes with us and other Mumbo Jumbo customers learn about upcoming events, recent articles about Mumbo Jumbo, and view our new “no-nonsense” videos.  The new site will also connect to our Facebook and Twitter sites for those of you who have to know what the Mumbo Jumbo folks are doing at all times!

Of course you will still be able to purchase our seasonings, and we will soon be adding additional mumbo jumbo items such as t-shirts, hats, and grilling aprons.

So take a look around the new site www.mumbojumboseasoning.com and let us know what you think.

Shake…Grill…Enjoy,

Jeremy Fare
